Thursday, March 21:

  • Attention 8th Graders:  Please meet in the PDLC for recess today.  Jostens will be here to deliver your graduation items.
  • MASH continues today in Mrs. Marks room, room 237.

  • Students, lost and found items are now on tables outside of the West Gym.  Please reclaim any items that are yours. Anything left here after Friday will be donated to charity.

  • Our final special dress day is tomorrow.  Wear your favorite warrior wear. Go warriors!

  • Tomorrow’s playoff floor hockey game is between the #4 Bandits and the #5 Buzzards.

 

Wednesday, March 20:

  • Students, lost and found items are now on tables outside of the West Gym.  Please reclaim any items that are yours. Anything left here after Friday will be donated to charity.
  • Tomorrow’s dress day is Root for a Cause!  Do you have a cause you are passionate about? Show it off!

  • Tomorrow’s playoff floor hockey game is between the #3 Swamp Rabbits and the #6 Mayhem.

  • 8th graders who still haven’t turned in photos will be running laps in PE for the rest of the week beginning TOMORROW.  If you’re not sure what you need, go visit Mrs. Wilmarth!

  • All 8th grade band and chorus students should come to the choir room after homeroom. Bring jackets, coats - anything you are taking with you on the trip today.Congratulations to Germantown Hills Scholastic Bowl Teams! Both teams were winners against Eureka last night! Way to go, Warriors!

 

Tuesday, March 19:

  • MASH continues today in Mrs. Light’s room, room 219.
  • Students, lost and found items are now on tables outside of the West Gym.  Please reclaim any items that are yours. Anything left here after Friday will be donated to charity.

  • 8th graders:  If you have not turned your permission slip in for the Six Flags trip, please do so.  This is the slip I handed out in the PDLC with the behavior expectations on it. This is a requirement in order to attend.

  • Tomorrow’s dress day is Jersey day.  Wear your favorite sports team. Go Cubs!

  • Tomorrow’s playoff floor hockey game is between the #7 Loggers and the #10 Gorillas.

  • Attention 8th graders!  If you STILL haven’t gotten photos turned in for your graduation video, you need to get that done NOW.  Mrs. Wilmarth MUST have your photos before spring break! Stop by her room with questions.

  • 2019-2020 Cheerleading tryouts begin tonight! If you are interested you may still come to clinic this evening from 5-7 pm with completed paperwork from the office and a current physical on file. This is for all current 5th-7th graders.

 

Monday, March 18:

  • Attention students interested in participating in the talent show:  We will be moving the talent show to the end of April to give students more time to practice.  It will also be moved to after school in the evening so parents can attend.

  • As a reminder, this week is a dress up week.  Hopefully you are rocking your favorite color today.  Tomorrow is Heritage day. Wear something special that represents you and your family.  

  • The 2019 floor hockey regular season concluded this morning.  The playoffs begin tomorrow with the #8 Cyclones playing the # 9 Solar Bears.  All teams have been seeded 1 through 10 in a single-elimination playoff tournament based on the regular season standings.  Make sure you check out the Floor Hockey board outside Mr. Mair’s office during lunch time today to see when your team plays  next. Good luck to all teams! 

 

Friday, March 15:

  • Monday’s floor hockey game will be between the Loggers and the Solar Bears.  This will be the last regular season game. The play-offs will begin on Tuesday, March 19th.  Be sure to check the floor hockey board during lunch to see the tournament bracket.
  • 8th Grade girls are reminded NOT to go to PE today, but to go to Mrs. Wilmarth’s room instead.  

  • Are you interested in entering your art in the Doodle for Google contest? Designs are due today.  Turn these in to Ms. Jarrett.

  • All 5th, 6th and 7th grade girls or boys who are interested in trying out for the Germantown Hills Cheerleading squad for the 2019-2020 season, please pick up a Cheerleading Tryout Packet in the office and sign your name on the Cheerleading Tryout Sign Up Sheet in the office.  Clinics for Try -outs will begin on Tuesday March 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., so please be sure and pick up your tryout packet as soon as possible. Also, please note that you must have a current physical on file before the Clinics begin on March 19th. So, don’t delay…. pick up your tryout packet today from the office.

  • Get out your green!! The Lucky Charm Dance will be next Friday, March 15th from 6-8.  It is $5 to attend and permission slips are in the office.

  • Tomorrow’s floor hockey game is between the Cyclones and the Mudbugs.

  • Attention 8th grade GIRLS - tomorrow is your video recording day!  Do not go to PE and do not wear green. If you still haven’t submitted your quote to Mrs. Wilmarth, you need to stop by immediately after announcements.

  • The Warriors Scholastic Bowl Team faces Metamora this afternoon at 4:00 at Metamora. Good luck Warriors! Team members should meet in Mrs. Anderson’s room after school today to practice before the match. Don’t forget to pick up your shirts from Mrs. Anderson. They are in!

  • Congratulations to the 7th grade basketball team.  Last night at the Tazwood conference meeting, the Warriors were Officially crowned with the Conference Championship trophy with a perfect 7 - 0 record! Way to go, Warriors!

 

Wednesday, March 13:

  • Don’t forget the school talent show will be the Friday before we go on Spring Break.  Come pick up a permission slip form in the office to share your talent with the school!
  • Get out your green!! The Lucky Charm Dance will be next Friday, March 15th from 6-8.  It is $5 to attend and permission slips are in the office.

  • Tomorrow’s floor hockey game is between the Bandits and the Loggers.

  • Tomorrow’s floor hockey game is between the Loggers and the Rail Yard Dogs.  Due to the late start, the game will be at 8:30.

  • Attention 8th graders - the clock is ticking - let’s get those graduation video photos turned in.

  • Attention 8th grade girls interested in trying out for the High School Cheer team next year, information is in the office.
